The Vision

I saw you
Resting on the reef beneath the sea,
your hair
floating in the shimmering water
From time to time
Little swarms of small fish
Nibble at your feet
Like loving thoughts.
The octopus wraps his arms
Around you to hold you safe
Waving his tentacles
At the shark of pain
Gliding by on his way
To another destination.
Dolphins come
To sing to you
To relinquish what was
And to carry you
To the island
Where you lie
on the Sands of healing
Drinking in the life force of the rising Sun
To gather the strength and will
To go forth
To Where the little boat is waiting
To carry you
into the future.
