Song of the River
Remove all barriers within
your Self,
invite the water,
the rain of your tears,
to wash away the silt of your past,
replenish the channels of your soul,
parched by long years of draught,
given birth to a river,
a river running deep and true
through you.
Your Heart cries out
for solace:
let me drink my fill.
Behold your face in the clear water
and know that it is your soul
calling you.
Let the shale hiding your essence
crack and be washed away.
Listen, oh listen
to the sound of the River.
It is the Beloved
calling you:
Come, enter the river,
bathe in my Love,
Become One with me.
your Self,
invite the water,
the rain of your tears,
to wash away the silt of your past,
replenish the channels of your soul,
parched by long years of draught,
given birth to a river,
a river running deep and true
through you.
Your Heart cries out
for solace:
let me drink my fill.
Behold your face in the clear water
and know that it is your soul
calling you.
Let the shale hiding your essence
crack and be washed away.
Listen, oh listen
to the sound of the River.
It is the Beloved
calling you:
Come, enter the river,
bathe in my Love,
Become One with me.
